1. Definitions

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using challengez.in, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Yukti Engine under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age to register on the Platform.
• Organisations must be legally incorporated or registered under applicable Indian law.
• By registering, you represent that all information provided is accurate, complete, and up to date.
• The Platform is not available to persons or entities previously suspended or removed from the Platform.

4. Account Responsibilities

• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You must notify us immediately at support@challengez.in of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Each individual or entity may maintain only one account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. For Organisations (Challenge Hosts)

5.1 Organisations must complete verification before posting challenges. Verification documents are reviewed by Challengez administrators.

5.2 Challenges must be lawful, accurately described, and not misleading. The Organisation is solely responsible for the challenge brief, evaluation criteria, and selection decisions.

5.3 Performance Award Escrow: Cash performance awards must be funded into escrow before a challenge is approved (or before declaring a Selected Candidate, for trusted organisations). Yukti Engine does not guarantee payment if an Organisation fails to fund escrow.

5.4 Organisations agree not to use the Platform for discriminatory selection, spam, fraudulent activity, or any purpose that violates applicable Indian law.

5.5 Challenges cancelled by Challengez for policy violations will result in escrow refund to the Organisation where applicable. Entry fees paid by applicants are non-refundable.

5.6 Organisations may send employment or internship offer letters to Selected Candidates through the Platform. Such offers are solely between the Organisation and the candidate; Yukti Engine is not a party to any employment relationship.

6. For Applicants (Challengers)

6.1 By applying to a challenge, you agree to the specific terms and evaluation criteria set by the Challenge Host.

6.2 Entry Fees: Where applicable, entry fees are non-refundable, including in cases of challenge cancellation, unless otherwise stated in these Terms or required by law.

6.3 All submitted work ("Applications") must be your own original work and must not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights. You are solely liable for any infringement claims arising from your submissions.

6.4 By submitting an Application, you grant the Challenge Host a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to evaluate your submission for the purposes of the challenge only.

6.5 Selection in a challenge does not constitute or guarantee employment, an internship, or any legal relationship with the Challenge Host beyond the stated Performance Award.

6.6 Challengez uses automated screening (including AI-assisted tools) to assess applications. Screened-out applications are not reviewed by the Challenge Host. Challengez is not liable for any automated screening decisions.

7. Teams

7.1 Applicants may form teams ("Form a Team") as permitted by the Challenge settings.

7.2 Performance awards for team winners are split equally among team members unless otherwise specified by the Challenge Host.

7.3 Participation certificates are issued to all eligible team members irrespective of selection outcome.

8. KYC and Performance Award Payouts

8.1 Selected Candidates receiving a cash Performance Award must complete Know Your Customer (KYC) verification within 30 days of being declared a Selected Candidate.

8.2 Failure to complete KYC within 30 days will result in forfeiture of the award. Forfeited awards are retained by the Platform.

8.3 Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) will be withheld from Performance Awards as required under the Income Tax Act, 1961, and remitted to the government on your behalf.

8.4 Yukti Engine acts as an intermediary for award distribution and is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect KYC information or third-party payment processing issues.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 The Platform, including all content, branding, and software, is owned by Yukti Engine and is protected under the Copyright Act, 1957, the Trade Marks Act, 1999, and other applicable Indian intellectual property laws.

9.2 You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any Platform content without prior written consent from Yukti Engine.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent challenges or applications.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or circumvent Platform security measures.
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Impersonate any person or organisation.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Attempt to manipulate challenge outcomes.
• Upload malicious files or content that could harm Platform infrastructure or other users.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Yukti Engine shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
• Actions or omissions of Challenge Hosts or Applicants.
• Performance Award disputes between Organisations and Applicants.
• Loss of data, revenue, or business opportunity.

Our total aggregate liability in any matter shall not exceed ₹10,000 or the total amount paid by you to the Platform in the 3 months preceding the claim, whichever is lower.

12. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." Yukti Engine makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Platform's uninterrupted availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

13. Termination

Yukti Engine reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any conduct deemed harmful to the Platform or its users. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

14. Dispute Resolution

14.1 Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably by both parties within 30 days of written notice.

14.2 Disputes not resolved amicably shall be referred to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India). The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator mutually agreed upon by both parties.

14.3 The seat and venue of arbitration shall be Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

14.4 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to the arbitration clause, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

15. Modifications to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When a new version is published, you will be notified and required to agree to continue using the Platform. Continued use after re-agreement constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
